Neck Tension HeadacheNeck tension headache
is caused by the
constant tightening of the muscles that are involved. Initially pain
may only
be experienced locally, and then gradually spread. When this pain
spreads, this
is when the sufferer of neck tension headache will further experience
tension
headaches, neck pain and pain in the shoulder region. When a patient suffers from neck tension headache, they will find that the affected muscles (say, the neck muscles) are sore when touched. These muscles feel tender and in one particular exact point the pain will be more distinct when pressure is applied here. This point is commonly referred to as the trigger point. The trigger point is said to be the spot that when “activated” will tend to set off the neck tension headache. Studies have shown that neck tension headaches may be caused by changes taking place in the trigger point. These changes results in the production of a fibrous materials that tend to take the place of muscle tissue instead. These
fibrous material are the culprits that causes the pain experienced by
neck
tension headache sufferers when they affect the nerves and capillaries
in the
local pain area.
Apart
from
having properties like relaxing muscles, Myopax is also known to
produce a
soothing and calming effect in the patient. The effectiveness of myopax
comes
from its natural ingredients like lavender and rosemary. One neck tension headache patient has claimed that taking fiorinal is the best medication. The patient experiences neck tension headaches that extends up and goes around the left eye. However due
to the potential risks of continual intake of this medication, doctors
have
taken the patient off fiorinal. The patient has since been prescribed
other
“migraine” medications that didn't seem to give the
desirable relief. Apart from medications, neck tension headache sufferers can try other forms of tension headache relief. For example, learning to relax and trying to avoid stress-filled situations is another way to prevent tension headaches from developing. Take regular breaks from work and do some stretching exercise to help loosen muscles in tension, or gently massage the tensed muscles. Acupuncture is another option to consider for the treatment of neck tension headache. It can relieve tiredness and reduce emotional distress which is the causes of tension headache. Practice healthy lifestyle habits and keep to eating regularly. Keep a happy outlook on life and this will ultimately reduce emotional and physical stress. |
